class="MsoNormal">Prepare to be challenged...Chaos reigns! Well it would certainly appear to be so at times and especially when we are new to Internet Business. It doesn’t matter whether it is MLM, E-commerce, or true Internet Marketing the challenge is huge for an individual unfamiliar to the Online Business world. There are a number of reasons of course, ..... There always is! Just to mention a few before I focus on the topic of this writing are:

Mindsets – we have to change our mindsets when transitioning from traditional to online business. The basics are there but the implementation is quiet different and can be a challenge.

Environment – our work environment is to a large degree laid out for us with traditional work or business locations. There is a new freedom with Online Business that allows us to work anywhere with the right tools. Most of the multimillion dollar earners work with a laptop and mobile phone working from home offices, hotels, beaches, cafe’s and the like. Getting out head around that is a bigger mind shift I think than most realise.

Social Interaction – In a traditional office environment there is a social interaction that brings most of us a sense of belonging, security and connection with our piers. Working from home is something that many of us need to grow into. I have been an Entrepreneur for over twenty years and have worked in both environments and both are fine for me as long as I have my space, I need to have controlled disruptions, but my observation is that for others they want the interaction, someone to talk to and get lonely when isolated. The Internet provides an alternative solution through the social forums and its one more thing that requires adjustment.

Cost of Business – I once heard, in fact I’ve heard it more than once, that the internet is the cheapest place to FAIL. It’s also the cheapest place to do business but BEWARE, most people spend more than they ever earn on the Internet, and why? Because we are constantly bombarded with the BEST THING, Discounted and an opportunity not to missed ....... and we get sucked in, often buying marketing tools, opportunities, and selected specials that we don’t need, don’t use or don’t really know how to use which just costs us money.

These are just a few of the little adjustments we must make, and we truly must make them because there is no doubt that Business is increasing its presence Online, that people are increasing their presence Online and that the opportunities of today and the future are Online.

On contemplation I have concluded that the biggest hurdle is in fact that NOTHING WORKS as it should on the Internet and if we don’t come to terms with this early on we become the BIGGEST LOOSER?

This is not a bad thing really because the chaos is a good indication of the constant speed of growth & change the Internet endures. After all, in its current form its only 10 years old!! There are now well over 1.5 Billion users and I saw a statistic the other day stating that 50,000 new businesses join each day!

This chaos that I refer to is subtle, but persistent and what I’m referring to is the websites that crash at the most strategically uncalled for time, the webinar instructions that show you how to do something with a totally alien screen that has been relegated to the out of date category. The beginner or “Newby” as they are often called, can waste entire days just getting to understand the relatively simple steps to achieve a certain success? Often we receive instructions that just plain do not work! These issues surely test the best of us however, there is much good to be realised in this environment and I name a few below.

Everything has instructions, something that can’t be said of traditional business. Although the instructions may be superseded through upgrades of the particular site when understood a certain pressure is removed from the hungry soul trying to understand what’s going on. Thirdly, we must understand that often when a site doesn’t do what we want it is because WE have not taken the time to fully understand and implement the steps required to achieve a certain task. Generally we are not good at reading instructions or taking the necessary time to learn what the site requires of us, maybe that’s just a man thing but I know I struggle big time with this one.......And I’ve learned it can be costly!!

So, the good news for a beginner or a man struggling with the chaos is that what you are experiencing is not unique to your world. God doesn’t hate you and this is just the way it is when the technology is growing exponentially almost at Warp speed. Knowledge is power!

So now you know, when it appears that the entire Internet World is on another planet (and it may well be ..... literally!) The best advice is this.

1. Make yourself a beverage, (for me it’s got to be coffee) take a seat, a little time and enjoy it!

2. Once you’ve calmed down and feel almost human again, review YOUR steps to see that you haven’t misunderstood part of the process.

3. Make sure you have entered the right data in the right place when it’s required.

4. If the instructions are indeed unfathomable go to the “Help” button, (any half decent site has one just for this kind of situation) and ask for help.

5. If you are ignored (which does happen) it is usually because the site has a forum where they want you to go to first and check that there hasn’t been someone before you with the same issue that you’re experiencing.

6. If you get no satisfaction here, go to your search engine (Google, Yahoo, etc) and type in your specific query there. It might take a little looking but if you don’t find a site that can help you there ...Well? ......

7. Have another drink, watch the sun go down and believe for a better day tomorrow, because it will! ....... and NEVER GIVE UP!

Home Online Business Needs Leverage for Advantage Marketing

It has been said that if you want something done properly then you must do it yourself! I’m sure you’ve heard that and most probably acted under this axiom at some stage in your own journey of life. Generations of hard working well intentioned men and women have laboured under this adage and with success! ……………Times have changed though and continue to change and what once was a seemingly universal law of enterprise is no longer true.

This can be seen nowhere more clearly than on the Internet where business is conducted at unprecedented volumes and at a frenetic pace. The Internet is the business centre of the universe!

To be successful with Online Marketing or Home Based Business we have to change that mind set and embrace the reality that there is a need to leverage experience. This is experience that you don’t have but experience that is readily available and experience that will enhance your profile, presence and overall effectiveness in a big marketplace if you make your selection wisely. It is because the internet tools and products are changing so rapidly that one cannot keep up with all things knew and it is vital to have good (human) resources available to stay on top of the game.

This may sound daunting if you are just searching or starting out with a home business but it doesn’t have to be. Most well intentioned and organised Internet Opportunities will offer outsourced resources that will help with establish a thriving business.
In my experience the most important keys to start-up success are as follows:

1. Make a decision ….. NEVER GIVE UP!
2. Research ….the marketplace to see what opportunities are available to you
3. Conduct consumer research …..to see what they are saying about the product(s)
4. Select ….the type of home business you are establishing (eg: whether you are representing a product line, working as a home based secretary or producing your own product and selling it on the internet through a variety of cost effective marketing methods).
5. Map out the business plan
6. Keep focused on the plan …..don’t be distracted by the incessant new opportunities offered to you on a daily basis (I would go so far as to don’t even open them let alone read them…..they will distract you, unsettle you or at the very least waste your time).
7. The sales list therefore is a link list of people likely to be interested in the product or proposition that you are presenting.

“A list is only valuable if the contacts are valuable!” …….. let me say it again, “the list is only valuable when the contacts are valuable!”
So, what is a valuable contact and how do we attract them to our list? Thanks for asking! Here are a few tips that will help you build a valuable sales list for your business.

Exposure

The idea is simple! There are just under 2 Billion people using the internet today. That represents a huge marketplace for you and I to present our products and propositions, it is therefore prudent for us to expose our very existence as much as possible.

Researchers tell us that a person rarely buys or accepts any offer the first time round. In fact it usually takes between 7 to 20 visits before a decision to buy is made.

Research also tells us that when people are searching they don’t generally take too much attention to the site address on the first visit so it is highly likely that their subsequent searches will be on a competitor’s site. Let’s face it there is plenty of competition. So, list building is an essential task for all internet marketing to establish a sale list of potential customers.

Exposure means to tell the world you’re here and you have what they want! Use multiple web, blog, network, social sites & advertising to expose your opportunity.

Capture

List building of a suitable sales list requires an opt-in or invitation to leave the visitor’s name and email for contact purposes. Many sites try and encourage this by offering free gifts.

Others rely on the value of the product and the genuine interest at this 1st visit (understanding that they may have already looked at similar offers on other sites). Social sites are also valuable for list building.

Always give opportunity to register interest in what you are doing/selling on your sites. Use Social sites to present that opportunity too … but without being “pushy”. Write articles, produce video’s to brand yourself and your opportunity and when you do always make reference to your main site.

There are plenty of entrepreneurs out there selling ready made lists, very large lists but for my part I think to buy them is a waste of time and money. There are those that would say otherwise, just think about it and you’ll figure out what’s best for you.

Follow-Up

This is when we use the sale list. As with any sound sales procedure we take the opportunity to thank them for being interested and present them with a call to action.

Follow-up again within a few days with another offer and possibly a discount or purchase gift. ‘Aweber.com’ provides a most suitable automated system to do this for you, however the real emphasis is on the follow-up whether it be automated or manual. It is the key to successful sales.

Free Gift

This term is commonly seen on marketing websites with an attempt to entice visitors to sign up to the mailing list. The result being that the visitor gets a gift that costs them nothing and the marketer gets a prize …… another name in the list. The money is in the list! We hear it all the time and there is truth in this statement for sure but there are other considerations around the value of the list.

To my mind a valuable contact is one of three potentialities. They are either:
1. Interested in the product I have
2. Potentially interested for the future
3. Not interested in the product but does see the value of it (and can influence others)

So a valuable list is a list of interested contacts. Obviously the opposite is an invaluable or next to useless list.

The money is in the list ………….. When it’s the right list!

The question is this…………. Does a gift, a free gift no less, which is like saying a gift gift (?) provide you with a valuable contact, a warm contact, or just a name to clutter your system ……. At the end of the day only you can decide what is right for you on this one but just be aware of the difference, the cost and the ownership for when you have built your own list it is yours and you can be confident in the list you have produced.

I wish you well and may your list be extensive and profitable!

David Bunyon
Recruiting & Internet Marketing
http://wealthmakerplus.com
http://twitter.com/DaveBunyon
http://davidbunyon.blogspot.com
http://www.youtube.com/TheGreatSouthlander1

What do Donuts have to do with Home Based Business?

Internet World Statistics tell me that there are over 6.7 billion people living on this planet. The latest figures show over 1.6 billion of them use the Internet while in the year 2000 there were just under 361million users. That is a growth rate of almost 450%. In the US alone and back in 2005 there were 13.8 million Home based Businesses (info. provided by Entrepreneur.com) and in my own country, Australia in the state of New South Wales there was 254,000 in 2004. Today there is more. Tomorrow there will be more again!

The idea, concept, consideration of a home based business is for the most part a noble and popular one. The reason so many people are thinking about or have already started a home based business is as varied as the individuals that choose it. However, for the most part it can be said that most home based businesses are borne out of convenience.

Single Mum’s find it convenient to work from home while they can still care for their children. Stay at home Dad’s are much more common in today’s day and can find it convenient to keep an eye on the “little ones” while they do business from home. Maybe commuting is a problem and navigating the hallway in ones own home is far more convenient than the city streets or country roads. Whatever it is though the thought is there – “work from home”. This doesn’t mean though that we have a “Home Based Business”.
Of course there is a difference between “work from home” and a “home based business” and often (I think) we get the two confused a bit. We speak “home based business” but think “work from home”!
The differences are considerable and may be found in the definitions themselves. You see when you research the word “Business” you will find something like this (depending on your source):-
Business: The purchase and sale of goods in an attempt to make a profit (Macquarie Dictionary).
We also see in association a Business Name:
Business Name: The name other than a surname under which a person carries on business or profession, such name being necessarily registered.
If we dig a little deeper from the same source we identify the people that do business are described as the following:-
Businessman /woman: A person who engages in business or commerce.
And
Businesslike: Conforming to the methods of business or trade; methodical; systematic.
And finally:
Business Plan: A formal statement of business goals, the reason why they are believed attainable and the plan for reaching those goals. It may also contain background information about the organisation or team attempting to reach those goals.
Work on the other hand is something different. (According to Wikipedia) being thus:
Work: Exertion directed to produce or accomplish something; labour; toil. (2) A productive or operative activity (3) Employment; a job; especially that by which one earns a living.
So this is what I’m getting to. Sometimes we focus on the hole in the middle of the donut and don’t look at the whole thing! We can say we have a home based business but we don’t see the big picture and therefore we are working from home instead. If we are serious about a home based business then we must see the whole thing. Build from the right foundations and bring clarity to our vision.
There is nothing wrong with work from home at all. In fact if we were to have a home based business we will indeed work from home. It will be an integral part of our business but, if we don’t have a business plan, a registered business name, if we are not attempting to buy (or create) and sell something for profit, conform to business principles and conduct ourselves in a businesslike manner we don’t have a business at all ................ we are just working???
You may have started like a “bull at a gate”, you may be going “great guns” or you may be struggling to get your focus or organise your day. Don’t fret! Take a moment to reflect on your foundations. Have you got a business plan with goals and a systematic approach to achieve them? Are they realistic? Are you structured properly? If not then take a little time to get these things in order. Then get back into it and gain the rewards you deserve for having a go, not giving up and enjoy the lifestyle you have chosen.
Just a word of warning! If you don’t have a Business Plan you can lose your way. If you don’t have a Business Structure you may well have problems with taxation in the future and if you don’t have a business mindset you will struggle to enjoy and achieve your dream. I heard this saying today but can’t remember who quoted it but it goes like this “Goals are in concrete, plans are in sand!”
If you are interested in getting educated in the successful use of the Internet and additionally want the opportunity to market top tier education material may I suggest that you visit the website below?
Now I know that you will never look at a donut quite the same again. And I hope that you never look at your home based business the same either.
I wish you all the prosperity and satisfaction that you hope for and more in your Home Based Business.
Cheers,
David Bunyon Entrepreneur & Home Business Owner
http://www.wealthmakerplus.com

Don’t Reason It Out….Work it out!

The battle is in our minds, …… Oh! I’m sorry did you just ask “What battle?”

To answer let me regress for a moment. Large numbers of people all around this world and most certainly in ours live way below their potential. People who have been trained NOT to “dream”, not to be “silly” and not to “try to be something they are not”! I know that I got it, and sadly have to say my own Son has had it too. It starts when we are very young. Whenever we begin the real adventure of living, you know, things like crawling and touching things, eating them or throwing them. The pressure comes….and it sounds strangely like NO! and from then on it is relentless – the pressure to CONFORM to be what others want you to be or to do. It follows on through our school years and forever more in our work and social worlds.

Have you ever wondered why there is so few really high achievers? I was always led to believe that that’s just the way it is. Most people are normal and sort of mimic one another in their varied lives but it is because the others are sort of special that they do what they do and it’s not meant for the madding crowd. They are gifted in this way or that, they have been given an opportunity that the rest of us don’t get, they are highly intelligent and so forth and so on and it goes on like that?

I have come to understand that it is truly a misconception. God has created each one of us uniquely and with gifts and talents that combined make us a one of a kind. The reality is that most Entrepreneurs don’t have a great education when they embark on their journey. They aren’t given a “golden spoon” when they turn sixteen and they don’t have it all laid out for them. Statistically I believe that it is just the opposite. So what is it that causes these people to stand above the rest ?

PASSION! More commonly spoken of in the context of love and relationship, it is a powerful motivator that drives us to perform often way above the norm surprising others and even sometimes ourselves. It is this passion that is quenched in so many through the dream robbing, adventure taking language & circumstances of our lives. The men and women that rise above it are the ones that refuse to listen to the hollow mumblings of others and most acutely lay their hopes and desires on the right voice within that says “You can do it!”, ‘Never give up!” “You have the authority to make it happen!” (for after all, it is your life and nobody else’s) “You have a dream to fulfil!” and the ‘passion’ that is constantly stirred like the coals of fire as it is prodded and turned.

No! it is not because the achievers are so gifted or have received a rosy life on a platter. It’s because they have listened to a different voice, they have refused to let circumstances, negativity or others with good intentions move them from the dream that they carry with them. You see, reasoning will stop us from achieving the dreams we have but if we hold on to the dream, reinforce our ability to achieve and work at it. … That’s when the spectacular happens!

So my friend, don’t reason it out. Often it is unreasonable ….. Work it out! Dig deep within and stir the passion for the dream and make it happen. Keep the embers glowing by seeing, thinking & confessing your success. This is how the High achievers do it, the 3%’s. They don’t listen to reason but speak the dream and act the dream into existence. No matter what it is you want to achieve, whether it be a start up MLM Franchise, a Top Tier Marketing Business or something else it is required of you to first get your thinking right in line with your heart, and then see what you can do to make it happen.

DavidBunyon, IndependentMarketer, www.wealthmakerplus.com,

Home Based Business Answers for Internet Beginners:

Starting an Internet Business, contrary to popular publications lead us to believe, requires much the same foundations as starting a business anywhere else. We need to map it out with research, a business plan, marketing plan, sales targets, and establishment in our chosen marketplace. The one big difference is that it costs a lot less to fail and can make a much better return on investment (ROI) when it succeeds.
It is a commitment requiring the right mind set and strategic considerations PRIOR to commencing the start up.

Things you must assess before you commit:

1. REASON IT OUT
Assess the reason you want to do it …..Some people are pretty well bound to it because they:
• Have children to care for which prevents normal working hours
• Have elderly people they need to care for which prevents normal working hours
• Are too old to get a well paying job (EG: a late aged Baby Boomer)
• Are too young to get a well paying job (EG: a student)
Or
• Want to own their own business in the most dynamic commercial environment on the planet.
You may want to earn a lot or a little?
All are legitimate considerations and valid positions to take. The thing is ……. that when you consider your REASON you can begin to SEEK OUT the best opportunity for you!

Knowing the answer to these simple (or not so simple) questions helps you FOCUS on what to look for …….
A part-time easy to function job that is suited to your skills
Or
A real business model that will stretch you out of your comfort zone and at the same time present you with an amazing opportunity to build a highly lucrative business, learn from the Masters of the game and still have the flexibility to care for your family and still have time up your sleeve!

2. SEE YOURSELF DOING IT!
Next ask yourself,

what is it that I want to do?
There are plenty of options. Take time to dream a little. Close your eyes and SEE YOURSELF doing the work. How happy are you? Are you enjoying it? What is the work you are doing? And even beyond that

what am I able to do with my life now?

Once you have sorted these two things out you can begin to search for the right thing for you.

3. BE PATIENT & WISE
This requires some patience and wisdom. Not all offers on the

Net
are good offers. In fact I often think the of the word NET in the context of it

Trapping
people much like the web of a spider's web........ and it seems like most people get caught at least a little when first starting out. If you do, then don’t let it deter you but let it spur you on to find the right thing for you!!!

4. MAKE A PLAN
Figure out what you want to do. Make a PLAN for your first 6, 12 & 24 months with the business.
Write it down, map it out and use this document to keep yourself focused.
You might have here the number of hours you want to work, the amount of time you want with your family or by yourself. Work out a budget ……… set some targets to shoot for.
You may not be the type of person that has done this before or is comfortable doing it but hey! do it anyway. It can be a real tool to head off confusion and keep you straight?

5. SET A BUDGET
This is really part and parcel of the planning stage but is so important it needs to be considered separately. The Internet is full of Marketers. They all have the best thing for you ……. at some incredibly discounted price and they are all Soooo convincing that their thing will help you. Sometimes they are right BUT even if they are you must ask yourself

can I afford this now?

Do I need it Now?

Does this hinder or help?
It is so easy to spend more than you make, therefore set a budget.
Work Out how much you can spend? How much you are prepared to spend? How much do you want to earn? What return on Investment will you get if you spend this and earn that?

6. ASSESS THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Assuming you already have a place to work your business at home there are other technical considerations and these can affect your budget too. I’m thinking about stuff like Internet connection speed, will you need to buy a camera, camcorder, webcam, or software? Will you need to upgrade your computer? Do you have an efficient and cost effective printer, will you need one?

These six key foundational & basic steps for Pre-Start up of an internet business if used properly will help in the early stages of a new work. Expect the unexpected, know there will be hindrances but if you have prepared yourself with your eyes wide open you can get to the other side and enjoy the journey. Understand that these six steps can be worked out, written down on a napkin in the coffee house or may take on a more formidable documented report to yourself. Whatever is appropriate for you.

My hope is that this helps you and brings some clarity to what at times can be

pretty muddy water
That’s it for now…!

D Bunyon
+61403058050
http://wealthmakerplus.com
http://davidbunyon.wordpress.com
http://www.facebook.com/david.bunyon
http://www.youtube.com/TheGreatSouthlander1
